Welcome to Linya. By using our platform (web application and mobile app), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. About Linya

Linya is a virtual queue management platform that allows customers to join business queues and event lines remotely. Business owners use Linya to manage their queues and serve customers efficiently.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on Linya. By using Linya, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Guest Usage

Guests may join queues by providing their name and phone number for OTP verification. By joining a queue as a guest, you consent to the collection and processing of this information as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

When using Linya, you agree not to:

  • Join multiple queues simultaneously using different identities or devices
  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of queues or the platform
  • Use automated tools or bots to interact with the platform
  • Attempt to access accounts or data belonging to other users
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

6. Business Owner Responsibilities

Business owners using Linya agree to:

  • Provide accurate business information (name, address, operating hours)
  • Use customer data collected through Linya queues only for the purpose of providing their service
  • Comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) when configuring custom fields and handling customer data
  • Not collect sensitive personal information (e.g., health data, government IDs) through custom queue fields unless legally justified and with proper safeguards
  • Manage their queues fairly and in good faith

7. Queue Services

  • Linya facilitates virtual queuing but does not guarantee service times or availability.
  • Business owners retain full control over their queue management decisions (calling, serving, completing, no-show marking).
  • Your position in a queue may change based on business operations.
  • Linya is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by businesses.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and intellectual property on the Linya platform are owned by or licensed to Linya. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without our prior written consent.

9. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
  • Upon account deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

Linya is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Linya shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

11. Privacy

Your use of Linya is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the Philippines.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of Linya after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
